James Desjardins is a Dene singer songwriter from Fort McMurray, Alberta, proud of his roots in the Buffalo River Dene Nation and driven by a voice that feels both familiar and new. He first picked up a guitar at age ten, and by seventeen he had written Drunken Love, the first hint of the storytelling instinct that would define his work.
